Since Turnit Ride is a cloud-based centralized platform, capacity handling and sales of a specific departure can take place from all channels in real time. As all sales channels interface with the back-end system over web-services, customers have a choice of either integrating their existing websites or use 3rd party web developers to develop new front-end channels.
Turnit Ride API-s also cover refunding and modification functionality, allowing operators to utilize web-based self-service principles and reduce help-desk and call-center costs. Sales API also includes a shopping-basket logic, allowing multi-ticket sessions to be handled within one payment.

Sales channels

Depending on the business processes and booking flow of the client, Turnit Ride can adjust the B2C API to match those needs. Depending on the type and needs of the customer, we can set up B2C channels based on:
- White label sales engine with configurable layout and functionalities or
- Rest API that covers the whole sales process, enabling customers to build custom applications or integrate with their existing B2C interfaces
Our Android-based hardware agnostic sales & check-in application allows on-board staff to be fully aware of the seat inventory in real time. Key features of the on-board application include:
- Ticket sales module, working both in online and offline mode. Should there be any interruption in connection to back-end servers, the driver can sell seats based on the last known information received while other sales channels can be closed after certain timeout period (configurable) to minimize chances for overbooking. When connection re-establishes, seat stock is again synchronized, and the system resumes online mode.
- Check-in module, which allows registering pre-bought tickets using QR-code scanner, 4-digit booking code or loyalty/ID cards, etc. Every check-in event is unique, minimizing fraud through copying or falsifying ticket ID-s.

-
Demand or time-to-departure based fares, which can depend on the number of tickets sold to the trip or time left until departure, maximizing yield per trip
-
Multi-leg pricing, which allows to set specific O/D (Origin/Destination) based fares when combining multiple trips for the journey
-
Possibility to change the fare matrixes one by one or apply common algorithm to all price list items at the same time
-
Price dispatching tool, which allows to target and deploy a quick fare change on (set of) specific trip(s) in order react immediately to competitive changes on the market (disruptions or price changes on competitor services for example)
-
Ability to define general price lists and fare categories, which considerably simplifiesthe fare management of complicated and widely branched route network
Cancellations, refunding and modifications
In addition to flexible fare management, it is also possible to set up a comprehensive cancellation, refunding and modification policy. Any transactions in the system are possible to edit both through B2B and B2C sales channels based on following rules applied to that particular transaction:
- Only a Percentage, sum or fixed value is refunded
- Regular ticket refund is processed by issuing a voucher
- Cancellation/refund/modification is allowed
- only up to certain time before departure
- only in specific sales or after-sales channel
- only starting from specific loyalty level
- only to corporate customers
- only to passengers with corresponding insurance product
- It is also possible to set override option to those rules for certain user profiles (administrators, head of shift, etc)
